Dual Optical Power Meter
It is difficult to measure directly the optical power arriving on the detector inside the vacuum chamber. Therefore, the optical power is measured outside on a port of the integrating sphere. To know the losses on the optical path from the integrating sphere to the surface of the detector a first calibrating measure is done with a second optical sensor placed temporary in the position of the detector inside the vacuum chamber. The dual optical power meter 2936-R from Newport with two calibrated optical sensors will allow measuring the absolute optical power in function of specific wavelength between 400nm and 940nm with an accuracy of 1%.
On the Power Meter page of the LabView user interface, all information’s of the dual powermeter including their graphs are shown.
